Hi there. I’m Maeve, a Galway-based celebrant and solemniser. 

Becoming a celebrant was the realisation of a decade’s long dream of helping people create beautiful and meaningful ceremonies to mark life’s important milestones. It is a joy and a privilege to do this work, and I am so grateful to be able to do it.

I hold ceremony for all occasions, from Weddings and Welcoming ceremonies to Age of Reason celebrations and Mother Blessings. Really, any important transition can be marked through ceremony and I’m here to help.

I craft ceremonies from scratch, so they are personal and authentic. This starts with listening in a very intentional way when I meet families or couples. My ceremonies emerge from the stories I have heard and how they have been told. It’s a collaborative process that I cherish. I trained with the wonderful Entheos because their core value is inclusivity, and my ceremonies will always reflect this.

A little bit about me…

I was born and raised in Galway and feel very lucky to be raising my own two small kids with my husband in the city that I love. I feel at home in nature and crave to be near it in good times and bad. I adore food and cooking, and sharing meals with the beautiful people in my life. Music is my passion, coming from a musical family and having worked in classical music for many years. You’ll hear me singing my way through any day of the week! Above all else, I love connecting with people. I have huge gratitude for my life and the people in it, and try to relish all of life’s little moments along with the big ones.
