To create a ceremony, through meaningful preparation by the child and the adult, to celebrate a child’s rite of passage from early childhood into the developmental term known as the Age of Reason.

At Entheos, we recognise that each child is unique and made up of pieces from their families, their own nature and nurture. Children are much more than the sum of their accomplishments. They are a tapestry of traits, experiences, hopes and dreams. Loved for who they are now, not who they might be in the future. Each child is unique, individual and in a constant state of awareness and reveal.
This programme and ceremony takes a moment to appreciate the years the child has experienced and grown to date, to pause and celebrate the crossing of the threshold into late childhood and to ponder what lies ahead given their various dispositions, abilities, interests, talents and inclinations.
It is an opportunity for parents to explore a structure and focus to engage in their child’s developmental milestone away from the busyness of daily life. To make a commitment to explore who their child is and wants to be. Progress not perfection. Reflecting on experiences in order to move forward and acknowledging personal growth.
The purpose of the ceremony …
Humans use many religious, spiritual or cultural beliefs and practices to seek guidance throughout their lives. This celebration seeks to show children that they have all the tools they need and these can complement their family’s belief system if they so choose.
It aims to guide children to listen to themselves and to listen to nature by the means of play, adventure, guided meditation, Irish mythology and ceremony.
The workshops provide a focus for you and your child to take time to reflect on the process both before and after each workshop.
This is non-religious and pro-goodness.
