My name is Loraine Greaney. I am a celebrant and solemniser based in beautiful Carrick On Shannon, Co. Leitrim. I am married to Barry and we have two children aged 3 and 7. My interest in celebrancy began on my own wedding day 8 years ago. Our wedding was officiated by a registrar. While it was a lovely ceremony, it lacked the personal touch that I envisaged for our big day. In the same year, I attended many celebrant led weddings and the desire to become a celebrant became stronger and stronger! Fast forward 6 years and two kids, life finally gave me the opportunity to fulfil my dream of becoming a celebrant when I joined Entheos.

My passions lie in creativity, especially with a pen and paper. You will always find me with a notebook and pen either sketching or jotting down my ‘a-ha’ moments (not the 80’s band!) Meeting with couples and getting to know them feeds my creative soul and provides me with the inspiration I need to write authentic and meaningful ceremonies.

My 15 + years’ experience in the classroom have instilled in me a sense of compassion and understanding. My aim as a celebrant is to welcome couples into a loving and safe space on their wedding day. I will listen to you and create a ceremony infused with your personalities leaving you and your guests full of enthusiasm for the celebrations ahead!
